New Grass!!
Looks like some of my hard work paid off. Readers of my family blog will know about my project last fall to re-landscape around my deck. 
I'll try to post that here later this week.
In the meantime, the above picture is the fruits of my labor. Mouse over the picture to see what it looked like last fall before I added the bricks and grass.

I envy the grass. Mine is a combination of violets, plantains, and wild
strawberries...the husband's goal is to eliminate more grass each year
(kids pool, swingset, path in the front yard, and so on).
If I show this photo to my wife, she'll start up with the "we need to get
the patio up to snuff so we can use it" spiel, and life's too short for
that.
Bricks and grass... and dog (instead of just dog dish). Totally
spruces the place up!
