Gift
Today's SPF is supposed to be a gift you have been given. In 46 years I've been given more than a few gifts, but this recent one stands out.
Yes, I realize that I used another picture of it for the Sunday View on the day I got it. Sue me. I love the jacket.
My parents gave me this jacket last Easter, completely out of the blue. As you can see, it has the World Series patches from all 10 Cardinal championships. (only the Yankees have more)
They made it clear that this was NOT an Easter present, that was just the first time they'd seen me since they bought it. They happened to see it on sale one day and just bought it for me for the hell of it because they knew how much I'd love it.
Those are the best gifts.

1946 & 1967 pfffft! I enjoyed 2004 much better.
